We have a
prayer and healing class that has been meeting for over
seventeen years and still meets every week for those within

First:
I have come to
realize my domain name has led some to have a
misconception about what we teach. We therefore have
attempted to overcome this with the following disclaimers:
We make no
claim that the healing is performed by us. It is the
work of the Holy Spirit that works through the believer in
the name of Jesus.
(Mark 16:15-2015He
said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good
news to all creation. 16Whoever believes and is
baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will
be condemned. 17And these signs will accompany
those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons;
they will speak in new tongues; ......... they will place their hands on sick
people, and they will get well."
19After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he
was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of
God. 20Then the disciples went out and preached
everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed
his word by the signs that accompanied it.
Second:
If it is thought that this teaching in any way denies the
benefits of medical science or implies that they should
not be sought, we neither believe nor teach it.
There are many, many testimonies that God uses medical
science and often heals through it. Nevertheless, there
are also many, many testimonies of cases where medical
science had exhausted its resources and the healing came
through prayer. Again, it is not a case of either/or, but
both. However, we do think it is best to make Jesus your primary
health
provider.
Third:
We solicit
no donations. We pay our own expenses. But we do have
something to sell -- ideas! And they may be costly
if you have cherished preconceived beliefs that are
contrary to those we present. What is perhaps unique about
this teaching is that we do it the way Jesus did it. By
declaration or by command -- but in His name and by His
delegated authority!

Fourth:
Many believe that
the ministry of healing is a gift from God and therefore
cannot be an acquired skill. We believe it is indeed a gift bestowed by the
Holy Spirit. We believe that it is one of the nine
spirituals tools given for
evangelism. But like any tool, we must learn how to use
it. We certainly do not claim that the power of healing
originates with us. But we do teach how to use that power
and be a channel for its application. We have found
that
it works through experience. Therefore, we teach that
others can learn it also. We acknowledge that the
bestowing of any gift is determined by the Holy Spirit.
But He can only bestow His gifts on those who are open to
receiving them and you them for a benefit to others. We have found that He most often bestows
them on those who are diligently seeking them and are
anxious to use them as He directs. The bestowing of a gift
is a transaction. It requires a giver and a receiver. So
we need to do our part. It is like salvation. It is a
gift, but we must accept it.
Finally:
We recognize
there are other approaches to healing. Still, we
have found this is one approach, but it not the only one.
Although there is no specific reference to it in the
Bible, we assume it is included in the "greater works"
referred to in
John
14:12 "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that
believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and
greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my
Father". KJV
as testified to by the
personal experiences listed on the Miracles Page.
There you will find
testimonies where healing took place using this
approach as well as others, You be the judge. Let
the Holy Spirit be your Guide.
How
to start a healing class of your own:
1.
Form a group of like-minded believers. If you are unable
to get a group together at first, study up on it yourself
anyway. Even having one other person to practice with can
get you get started.
2.
Pray that the Holy Spirit will guide
you. If
you have not been baptized in the
Holy Spirit it is strongly recommended you seek it.
3.
Purchase the book, "How To Heal the Sick," by
Charles and Frances Hunter. We do not sell the books. We
buy them for our use, just like others. [See
the Hunter's homepage to order the books and tapes.]
4.
If you decide to continue, also purchase the Hunter's
videotape on the subject. If the cost -- fifty dollars --
is a consideration, continue without it. Again, we do not
sell anything. We are just referring you to where it can
be purchased.
5.
We have found that practicing on
yourself is a good way for the beginner to get
started. It will then build your faith to pray for others.
6. It
is suggested that each class session be started with the
prayer we use, or something similar. This declares who
should get the credit for the healing. Click

those who are not able to attend our class in person, we
have an active ongoing class for those who can. If you are
primarily interested in being healed, and can come to the
class in person, we will pray for you. Our expectation is
that you will receive a benefit. Our hope, however, is
that you will, in turn, want to learn how to pray
effectively for others who may need prayer for healing.
Our class trains on how to do just that. It is of Charismatic
persuasion although the church itself is not. However,

We meet every Wednesday evening at my home. You may call
me at (619) 435-8557 for directions. For over
seventeen years our principle source for its approach is the teaching
of Charles and Frances Hunter, a worldwide ministry
devoted to training others on how to heal the sick. Their
book How to Heal the Sick and a videotape entitled
"How to Heal the Sick - POWER PACK," are the
basic tools for this teaching. If you are unable to attend
the class, studying the same resources we have studied
will, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, produce the
same results. There is no reason you cannot start a class
of your own for this purpose. We are available to help you
in any way that we can. Just ask. Although I have
highlighted the healing of my cancer
as an attention-getter, the focus should be on Jesus and
the work of the Holy Spirit -- not on what happened to me.
Even our resources should not be your focus, although they
can be instruments through which the Holy Spirit works.
Again, the focus must, first and foremost, be on Jesus and
His indwelling representative -- the Holy Spirit. Many years
ago, I attended a seminar conducted by the Hunters. I
discovered by experience that their four basic points are
true.
These four points
are:
1. Divine
healing of spirit, mind, soul and body is for today.
2. How to do
it can be taught.
3. Any true
believer can learn to do it.
4. And the
power and presence of the Holy Spirit can be objectively
demonstrated.

We offer two ways to learn how to heal the sick:
One way is to join us on Wednesday evenings. It is
non-denominational. It is not structured. We have some of
the source materials on hand that we have found to be
effective. Fundamentally, we believe that if God said
it, we believe it, and that settles it.

of spiritual warfare.
